The birthday of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara falls on the 19th of the Second Month of each Lunar Year. The 19th of the Sixth Month was the day Avalokitesvara achieved enlightenment, the 19th of the Ninth Month Avalokitesvara renounced the secular life. Po Lin Monastery would conduct Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara's Great Compassion Repentance Service on these three days of major festivals, in commemoration of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara.

This service will help participants to become connected more deeply to our true compassion nature, and to vow for all sentient beings to be liberated from sufferings and to achieve peace to the human world. Its majestic power is unimaginable.
